Pair of Marine Detroit Diesel 8.2 L engines 205 HP
These engines are called fuel Pincher because of their low GPH fuel usage. They are was installed in 26,000 pound 38 foot flybridge cruiser total fuel consumption for both engines is 17-18 GPH normal cruise speed at 2550 RPM.
Trolling GPH is very low. Removed as part of a repower project with higher HP engines. Excellent engines for commercial duty use such as diving or commercial fishing uses as well as pleasure craft. These are not "smokers" as normally seen with 2 cycle Detroit Diesel engines with mechanical blowers. These are 4 stroke engines with exhaust driven turbos - both with relatively low hours. Both engines have SS exhaust elbows.
